We’ll have another full newsletter later this week that will update readers with the latest PLL free agency signings, recap the successful NLL “Stadium Showdown” and spotlight the newest PLL coaches. Yet for this bonus edition, I wanted to focus on the start of the PLL’s free agency period and update some recent signings.

🖊️ Multiple PLL Free Agents Re-Sign with 2022 Teams

While there are numerous free agents available, several opted to re-sign with their current clubs ahead of the free agency period. Let’s take a look at the signings made ahead of March 6.

• Archers LC re-signed LSM Jared Connors and attackman Connor Fields through 2024.

• Cannons LC signed attackman Matt Kavanagh through 2023 after acquiring him through a trade with Redwoods LC.

• Chaos LC re-signed LSM CJ Costabile through the 2023 season.

• Chrome LC re-signed LSM Nick Grill through 2024 and extended midfielder Justin Anderson through 2024.

• Redwoods LC re-signed LSM John Sexton and attackman Ryan Lee through the 2023 season.

• Waterdogs LC re-signed attackman Kieran McArdle and midfielder Zach Currier through 2024.

• Whipsnakes LC re-signed goaltender Brian Phipps through the 2023 season.

🥤6 Free Agency Moves that Would Shake Up the PLL

Last week, the Pro Lacrosse Talk staff created a list of free agent moves we’d hope to see this offseason. The goal was to provide some realistic Premier Lacrosse league signings that we could see once free agency opened.

Yet, how many free agency moves will truly shake up the PLL this March? That’s a question I wanted to ask myself. So, I crafted six free agency moves that, while much less realistic, would truly rock the PLL at its core.

• What if Marcus Holman, Will Manny AND Adam Ghitelman all sign with Cannons LC?

• What if Andy Towers signs BOTH defenders Tucker Durkin and Cade Van Raaphorst to Chaos LC?

🎱 Charlotte North Set to Return for Athletes Unlimited’s 2023 Lacrosse Season

While the third Athletes Unlimited lacrosse season is still months away, we know one of the league’s biggest stars will be returning in 2023. Savanna Collins announced last week that Charlotte North has signed on to play in the league in 2023. In her rookie season last year, North scored 50 points and buried a league-high eight two-point goals.
